"Halfway Point" showing in Chicago.

RMP Notes:

  • RoomMate Productions' first feature film "Halfway Point" is now an official selection of the Microcinema Fest in Chicago, Illinois. There were 120 submissions and a total of 29 selections, 19 shorts and 10 features. The festival is August 8th through August 14th. There will be many awards given out at this festival. Some of them include: Best Actor & Actress, Best Supporting Actor & Actress, Best Comedy, Best of Fest, and many more. Keep checking back for more information and results.
  • As mentioned in the previous blog, "Halfway Point" is now for sale on eBay. As of now there are 10 available. Of course if you miss it on Ebay, you can always go to www.roommateproductions.com and purchase a copy.
  • There will be no filming this weekend with RMP. As the schedule looks now, only 3 days are left of filming for "Kitty Cats & Exit Signs". It'll be nice to wrap on this film and then make preparations for post.
  • On Wednesday, July 20th, arrangements are going to be made for auditions for RMP's entry into the Hot Shops Film Festival, "Silence". Also being auditioned will be two more short films from Extreme Films. Auditions will be held in August. "Silence" is adapted from chapter one of the novel "Left Standing" written by RMP's Chad Bring. "Left Standing" is available at: http://www.leftstanding.net/purchase.php. Get your copy today and keep checking back for book signings by Chad Bring at a bookstore near you.
  • Finally, a new film festival will be coming to Omaha, NE. Red Frogs Productions, who RMP worked with on "Laundromat", are hosting the first annual Omaha Film Festival in early 2006. The call for entries is coming very soon. For more info on the festival, check out: The Omaha Film Fest.

    Happy Friday!
