RMP Is Keeping Busy

Filming for "Kitty Cats & Exit Signs" is coming to an end very soon. Even though the end is in sight, it is as busy as ever in the RMP world.
  • Eric took a call today from a nearby school district. It looks like the search for a high school to film the "Exit Sign Story" will continue causing filming to leak over in August.
  • Tomorrow is the big meeting with Pat & JT of Q98. At that time contracts will be signed, the script will be discussed, and pics will be taken. Tomorrow will also be an opportunity for me to check out the studio - making it easier for Chad and I to make up shot sheets.
  • Eric will also be heading down to Reel People Models & Talent. Eric is looking to set up auditions for two Extreme Films' short flicks and one RMP short. Reel People has been responsible for getting us so many of our talented actors and actresses. We are expecting to announce the audition times and locations tomorrow or Thursday.
  • This weekend, RMP and Extreme Films will be filming one last time at the home of Becky Johnson. She has been a big asset to Chad and I in supplying locations. Not only was her house in Wayne, NE used for "Halfway Point", but now her apartment in Omaha is a major setting for "Kitty Cats & Exit Signs".
  • Every filmaker knows that it is the small details that make a good movie. That can range from props to placement of extras to, in this case, clothes. For a small scene that is to be filmed on Saturday we needed a robe. Since my wife doesn't wear one, I needed to ask around. I asked my two favorite women, not counting my wife and my mom, if they wear a robe. I asked Christi Koch, from "Aisle to Aisle", and Julia Houston, from "Clay", "Halfway Point", "Laundromat", and co-inspiration for "KC&ES". The robe we will use will most likely belong to Christi.

As you can tell, RoomMate Productions has been very busy and it looks like it won't slow down for awhile. With post-production on "Laundromat" and pre-production on "Silence" starting, our day jobs are starting to get in the way!
