Up To Speed
A lot has happend in this the first two weeks of September '05. Let's get caught up.
"Laundromat" is days away from being in the can. Last night more editing was done to this 30 minute short film that is planned to be sent to writer/director/actor Kevin Smith for his Movies Askew Film Festival. The deadline is approaching and Chad, Eric, & Adam are hard at work. The three trailers should hopefully be up by the end of next week. The plan this weekend is to do more editing and get the music of Big Daddy & Authorized Personnel put in place.
"Kitty Cats & Exit Signs" is sitting at about 50 minutes so far in its non-completed first cut. After "Laundromat" is complete, the crew will focus on this one. There has been A LOT of interest from musicians as far as away as Canada to have their music in this movie. Music was a big part of RMP's first feature, "Halfway Point", and so it will be with this feature. It will be tough, but the guys are up to the challenge.
"Silence", RMP's seventh film, is also moving along quickly. Chad served as director and is also the editor. He has already put together a first cut of the film. As of now it looks really good. Fans of "Halfway Point" will notice a couple of things with this one. You'll just have to wait and see what they are when the 10 minute film comes to a theater near you.
Extreme Films, who worked with RMP on "Silence" & "KC&ES", is scheduled to film their two upcoming short films this month titled "First Impression" and "Shadow Board". Chad, Eric, and maybe Adam will have a bit part in one of them. The plan for these two films is the same as "Silence" which is the 3rd Annual Hot Shops Film Festival.
RedFrogs, who worked with RMP on "Laundromat", is hard at work on preping the 1st Annual Omaha Film Festival to be held in March '06. At last check they have received submissions from all over the globe. One of them includes RMP's "Halfway Point". Let's cross our fingers of another showing of the flick here in Omaha.
