Wednesday – Day 1

RoomMate Productions' sixth short film "Wednesday" has gone from preproduction into production. This was a big deal for Chad and Eric because the last time they took a film into production they had to table it after two days until further notice. RMP wanted to start off production with a nice small scene, but that scene was scheduled to be shot last month and was forced to be rescheduled. This made the first day of shooting one of the biggest days of the production; no pressure. The location was an office where many extras were needed, something the guys have had bad luck with in the past. On this day though, everything seem to go off without a hitch. Nine extras showed up which was the perfect amount for the office scenes. They did an awesome job and RMP hopes to work with all of them again. There were also two new crew members, Bobby and Addam, that stopped by to help and they contributed their talents behind the camera. Bobby and Addam did an awesome job and even said they would be willing to help on the other four days of production. Finally, Adam “Almighty” Koch was able to stop by and help make sure that everyone got into the location and made sure to get everyone's contact information. If it wasn't for Adam the day would have been very difficult.

Since Eric was in all of the scenes shot, Chad took the helm as the director. With the help of Bobby and Addam, he was able to get a lot of great shots. The main actors in this shot along with Eric were two RMP alumni and a newbie. Patrick Smith ("Halfway Point") did an excellent job as "Keith". He hasn't worked with RMP since 2003, so it was good to have him back on the set. This also saw the return of Michelle Schrage ("Life Unattended") who did a great job playing the part of "Janet". She worked with RMP last summer on an uncompleted project. Welcomed to the set was Monica Brooks. She works with Eric at PayPal and did such a good job in a side film project he worked on that she was an excellent candidate for the part of "Ellen" the office supervisor; she didn't disappoint.

Actual filming started just before 1pm and lasted until just before 3pm. Not bad for three office scenes. A big "Thank You" goes out to Eric's wife Angela for helping with the location. Day 2 is scheduled for next weekend. The day will consist of a smaller cast, but will be a longer day over all.
