Down, But Not Out

  • It wouldn't be Independent Filmmaking unless there were a snag or two. Pre-production & production went really well for "Kitty Cats & Exit Sign". Now that we are in post, it was time for the trouble to begin. It started last night when the editing bay went out thereby suspending editing on "Kitty Cats & Exit Signs" as well as "Silence" to at least November 1st. Also, another rejection was received from a location for shooting the "Exit Sign Story" for "KC&ES". RMP's Chad is hard at work on the editing bay and RMP's Eric is working on the location issue. We'll see how this all turns out.
  • On a brighter note, RMP's Eric was featured on Extreme Film's - Filmmakers' Forum podcast. Details on the three films RoomMate Productions have been working on were discussed. Also, some big news dealing with music was mentioned. Be sure to check it out.
  • While editing is on hold, the music contracts are being sent out to the bands that have given RMP the go ahead to use their music for the film. Keep checking back here for the complete list as the contracts come in.
  • Finally, an independent film that is currently in production has some interesting cameos. Eric & Chad were cast as extras as well as RMP alumni Shannon T. Mosley in Dropped At Birth Productions' "Imitation Life". In a bigger role is RMP alumni Catherine Giles who is a waitress at a night club. We'll be sure to keep you updated on when and where you can check out this flick.
