Big Month For RMP

  • Almost done. That is the current status of the gag reel for "Kitty Cats & Exit Signs". RMP's Chad and Eric worked on it for about 3 hours last night. The time is in the area of 13 minutes, but then again who cares. This is some funny stuff and the guys want to entertain as much as possible. Music from Mid City Flavor, "Halfway Point" soundtrack, have contributed a song to the blooper reel to give it a nice flow. It will hopefully be a big reason, not counting the film itself, you purchase the DVD come this summer. Next on tap is the "Laundromat" gag reel. Chad and RMP's almighty (Adam A. Koch) have put together a rough draft of a gag reel. All it is missing is a song and a little going over. Should be fun to work on as well as watch.
  • In about a week, RMP will hit the movie set again to re-shoot a scene from "Kitty Cats & Exit Signs". Big shout out to Marc Longbrake for providing a location and RMP cast alumni Emily Pottebaum ("Halfway Point") for serving as Director of Photography for the re-shoot. It will be a scene that will be in the DVD, so this is another reason to purchase the disc. Also, a meeting will be set up between the RMP trio to discuss what else might be added to the extra features. A lot is coming up, so we'll have to see.
  • "Silence" has been accepted to another film festival. The first annual Thrift Film Fest (Omaha, Nebraska) showcases short films less than 10 minutes. The festival is March 11th at 1412 Howard Street.
  • If you have about 50 minutes, be sure to check out the latest edition of "The Filmmakers' Forum". Extreme Films', Bob and Lou, interview actor/director John Putch about filmmaking and his movie "Mojave Phone Booth". The movie will be showing during the Omaha Film Festival - March 23rd - 26th. Of course "Silence" is an entry in the festival so check that out.
